Style and Colour: Barrel Aged beer, Belgian style

Taste: Mild sweetness, full body, liqueur note in the finish, mild. Peach-plum notes, rum aromas.

Alcohol: 14%

Drinking Temperature: 8 - 10°C

fermentation: After weeks of fermentation with several yeasts in an open vat, Belgian Strong Blond Ale matures for many months in old rum barrels from the Caribbean until it is beautifully velvety and has achieved its full aroma. The special climate and the mysticism of the 300-year-old monastery cellar contribute to the wonderful taste.

The Brewery: The Pilgrim brewery was founded in 2013 by Martin Wartmann. The beers are made from the best monastery water, select malt, aromatic hops, forest herbs and spices.

Origin: The Fischingen monastery was founded in 1138 by the Bishop of Constance, Ulrich II, as a pilgrimage station. Fischingen has been the only monastery in Thurgau to be inhabited by monks. Centuries ago, a beer after a long day's march was a welcome, strengthening and popular thirst quencher. The brewery is continuing this tradition in the monastery brewery: pilgrims on the Way of St. James receive a free can of PILGRIM KLOSTER AMBER in the PILGRIM brewery.

Food: Pairs very well with fine soft cheeses, pear, nuts.

Awards: Silver Medal at Frankfurt International Trophy
