The Brewery: The Brewery Het Anker is located in Mechelen, in Belgium. Founded in the 15th century.
Origin: Every year on 24 February, Emperor Charles' birthday, Het Anker brews a limited quantity of 'Gouden Carolus Imperial Dark'.
Food: Pairs wonderfully well with stews and patés.
