Style and Colour: Sour beer
Taste: With a pleasant grapefruit flavour enhanced with spices, this beer is light and sweet with a nice bitterness at the finish.
Alcohol: 5.5 % ABV
Drinking Temperature: 6 - 8 °C
Fermentation: A blend of a homemade spontaneous fermentation beer and 2 traditional lambic beers from the Senne valley, 2 and 3 years old, with high fermentation and fermentation in the bottle.
The Brewery: Brewery De Ranke has been founded in 1930.
Origin: Being Gueuze style enthusiasts, the brewery tried to make a spontaneous fermentation beer and they got a very positive result! A miracle! They called it the Spierelambiek, the name of a small river that flows not far from the brewery.
Food: Like gueuzes, it goes very well with white cheeses and even cheese fondue.
