Pancakes with beer, no milk

Yes, you can make pancakes without milk with beer. Lactose-free. Delicious and light!

Depending on whether you choose to make them savoury, spicy or simply sweet, you can choose the right beer. A light lager or even white (Troublette style) if you make them sweet for dessert. Or a triple lager (Swaf, Cuvée des Trolls or Chimay Triple style), or an IPA (Martin's IPA or Viven Imperial style) if you want them bitter, salty or spicy. The choice is yours.

The recipe below contains the Swaf Triple Lager, but you can swap it around as you wish.

Serves 4

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Difficulty level: Easy

Ingredients: 250g flour

250g flour

50cl lager or white beer (here Triple Swaf)

pinch of salt

4 eggs

Steps:

1. Pour the flour into a bowl with the pinch of salt.

2. Add the beer a little at a time, mixing vigorously (preferably with an electric mixer).

3. Add the whole eggs, mixing well until you have a smooth dough.

4. Leave to rest for 30 minutes.

5. Heat a crepe pan and lightly butter it

6. Mix the batter well and pour in a ladleful and cook until the crepe slides into the pan

7. Turn it over with a spatula and cook the other side.

8. Serve with your choice of sweet or savoury accompaniments, and especially with your choice of beer.

9. Repeat for the following pancakes.

Bon Appétit!
